Embassy of India, Khartoum participated in a cultural exhibition organized by Omdurman Islamic University at College of Information (Girls Centre). The exhibition titled “the effectiveness of exhibitions in spreading cultural awareness among countries” under the motto “Communication Bridge…Tourism without Travel” was inaugurated by His Excellency Mr. Ravidra P. Jaiswal, Ambassador of India to Sudan. The Indian pavilion in the exhibition displayed and distributed brochures and pamphlets about study in India, Indian culture, History, KVIC products, tourism and photographs from the Indian Constituent Assembly, Indian Constitution, etc. Students and faculty members were also provided information about Indian scholarships for higher studies and short term training programmes under various schemes fully funded by Government of India. Sudan is one of the main beneficiaries of the scholarships and training slots provided by Government of India.
