According to a statement obtained by our reporters, 250 of the fired and retired staff from Exports’ Development Bank (formally Bank of West) have submitted a memorandum to the Prime Minister including enormous demands on top of which is the settlement of their entitlements.
It is worth noting that some of the fired employees were sent to retirement before reaching the retirement age.
One of the fired and retired staff who preferred not to mention his name said that they will continue escalating the issue to reach the top authorities in the government till all their demands are responded to.
They reiterated their stickiness to Article (6) of the Constitutional Document, and the cabinet resolution to bring back the arbitrarily dismissed during the period 1989 till the uprising of December 2018 considering that the ousted regime dismissed tens of thousands of civil service workers after 30th June 1989 coup.
