The Sudanese Minister of Youth and Sports, Walaa Essam Al Bushi, announced on her social media account that she has been tested positive for Covid-19.
Meanwhile, a member of the Sudan Sovereign Council, Mohamed Al Fekki Suleiman, also announced that Minister Al Bushi has informed him that she has been tested positive for Covid-19. Al Fekki said since the two of them were together on an official trip to Kasala and Gadarif states few days ago, he is going to go for a house quarantine for the next two weeks.
Al Fekki urged the accompanied delegation to the necessary health precautions and get tested as well.
Al Bushi is expected to be in a self-quarantine for the next 14 days.
Three of the Sudanese officials have gone on self-isolations within the last one month, including Information Minister, Faisal Mohammed Saleh.
