It is said that in the days when coyotes of hate suckle the babe of men, and jackals of hypocrisy pimp their mothers’ broken hearts, may children not look to demons of ignorance of hope. Though God has revealed many faiths in one world to coexist, religion and ethics practice were not always compatible. Religion is bona fide, yet this de-attune is due to the truant of a hypertrophied pillar of religion, which is benevolence. Ostensibly, we have just made religion an empty urn void of its essence as if God did not exist in most of our conscience. Some terms as coexistence are meaningless unless they are operationally defined. This article will touch the beehive of peaceful coexistence and to see to somewhat it is mere ooze and a mouse from a laboring mountain.
Peaceful coexistence among diverse groups of people belonging to different religions, ethnicities, tribes, languages, etc. has undoubtedly been considered a pre-conditional of social security and global peace, since the beginning of history mankind has been struggling to find peace and has developed many principles and conventions to establish social peace. For instance, China knew how to tear into a porterhouse as she set out five principles for the world to peacefully coexist. The Chinese made themselves work and weave the world to mutually respect sovereignty and territorial plenitude, they also set out mutual non-aggression, non-interference in each other’s internal affairs, beside equality and mutual benefit; the four above principles paved the way for peaceful coexistence. You can work out the reiterate of ‘MUTUAL’ in the principles mentioned! Has the curse of Heaven befallen on Sudan?! It seems YES. In the 50s of the last century Anthony Mann wrote a book entitled “Where God Laughed”. By projecting this title on the first Sudanese tier at that time, it seems they were not qualified enough to govern the country yet, as reported by Cordon Memorial College principal and Mr. Griffith in 1939-1940 G. Empty sacks will never stand upright! The so-called the first generation did not wear their hearts on Sudanese nation sleeve, rather they traced on what had been assigned to the British authority to serve Great Britain. And thus we have blindly been barking up the wrong tree since independence.
One can assume ignorance does not mean the lack of knowledge, but it is the unwilling to acquire knowledge after it has been conspicuous. I reckon uneducated people are not the case of tearing Sudan social fabric, if found, it is not profound. These placid people have naturally a sense of symmetry and integrity; however, sophisticated people, no longer do think in personal values, each one follows their own conscience and ethical evaluations, and each group thinks it has privilege and the right over the other one and feels it is a God’s chosen clan. Therefore, infantile impulses have been awakened, such sibling rivalry and neighbor envy, the demand to have more and more, the glamour of colors, sleek hair, and the need for more luxuries. Such a situation emphasizes the neurotic greed of the individuals, the need to indulge in private fancies at a cost of an awareness of real values.
Unfortunately, the insidious epoch of Islamist witnessed many frustrations, many voices, and many “free” minds surrendered struggle for decency and individuality. Missing the genuine illuminant has made most of us opinionated robots in the social media platforms spreading the poison of hatred. Even our culture has been antithetical- hypocrite and sanctimonious. To such a culture, the word ‘coexistence’ is appeaser. The danger may become a disguise, dulling the awareness of inevitable interaction, and so profiting psychologically preponderant party.
For flames of hatred to die out, we should begin to think critically about the root causes of our disperse and enigmatic society and deal with them in terms of “nation subjected to consideration of public interest”; otherwise, any effort made is just a red herring.
In sum, the matter demands much equanimity; however, there is a loophole out of the abyss of perpetual hostility. Without genuine didactic curricula everything is fuss and blah and unable to solve and dissolve the grudge nestled in our conscience. Humanization is another viable possibility for a person as incomplete being conscious of his incompletion, and those who are dominant have to meekly subjectivate this disquieted person to coexist with the society and not in the society. Children is a pivotal factor in the hoped-for new transformation as their minds are blank slates, pushy parents have to stop objectivating them so that they can be themselves not their old tested fathers, who suffered from severe educational methods combined with punishments and total submission, so as not to recycle the vicious circle for the peace run-up, or it is in the throes of hopelessness.
