CHINA EXPERIENCE IN FIGHTING COVID-19 IS INSPIRATIONAL

It is well known that the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) broke out in China at the end of 2019 in Wuhan city the region of Hubei. Ever since the Chinese government worked out a clear Plan to fight and curb the pandemic. The Chinese experts work seriously, tirelessly and silently in managing in the crisis through a professional team who used to prepare a daily progress report on the development of the pandemic including the procedures, protocols, and necessary health measures to face COVID-19.
For its part World Health Organization (WHO) has appreciated the efforts taken by government of China considering that those efforts not only helped China but help the world as a whole, and this due to spirit of responsibility exercised by the Chinese leadership as president Xi Jinping once said that the solidarity and cooperation are the most powerful weapons in the fight against COVID-19.
Through February and March WHO has announced COVID-19 as pandemic which is a little bit far from epidemic according to WHO become global health emergency due to quick and wide spread across the globe. As a journalist I used to follow the situation very closely and attended a number of press news and briefings in Chinese embassy in Khartoum. We use to find the latest update from H. E Ma Xinmin, Ambassador of People’s Republic of China in Sudan. The information we received helped us later when coronavirus hit Sudan on 13 March this year when first cases of COVID-19 has been reported in Khartoum and in Sudan in general. The most inspirational experience of China in fighting the novel coronavirus is that how the country rally people and government potentials to face the pandemic as all concerned authorities work as busy bees everyone from his place that clear occurred when authorities decide set up field clinic and did it within ten days’ time as the shorter than anyone expected. This experience and model should taught in medical colleges for medical students worldwide need learn this wonderful lesson on how China confronted this pandemic. As the people will learn from lesson of each other. The bright side of the solidarity and cooperation is the medical Chinese team extended hands of support for different countries like Ethiopia, Algeria, Tunisia, some European countries. In Sudan 20 medical expertise team spent two weeks visiting isolations centres, clinics and handed over the government full report including observations and recommendations that the Sudanese government should follow.
I think all these efforts show the deep relationship between Khartoum and Beijing which started in 1959 this why Chinese medical apparatus and equipment of doctors like PPE were also sent from Chinese doctors to help their counterparts in joining common fight against the coronavirus disease. The Chairman of supreme committee of Health Emergency Siddig Tawer has announced that China will send airlift to support Sudan to get rid of the pandemic.
I think this is true translation of the common saying “friend in need is friend indeed
