The Sudanese Transitional Government (STG) Tuesday signed two separated agreements with European Union and Norwagian Refugees Council.
The agreement will allow European Organizations to resume its work in Sudan.
The Sudanese government received 11 tons of logistical assistance from the European Union to complete the previous air bridge that provided 92 tons of aid to tackle the COVID-19 in Sudan.
The government welcomed the high-level delegation headed by the Secretary General of the European Union, the French Assistant for Foreign Minister, and a large number of workers at European humanitarian aid organizations whose work was suspended during the defunct regime, in order to resume European voluntary work in Sudan.
The State Minister for Foreign Affairs, Al-Siddig Abdulaziz stated to press that Sudan started new stage of relations with Eurpoe following the return of the voluntary work, referring to the signing of two agreements during the visit, the first agreement was signed between Sudan government and the Norwegian Refugees Council which its voluntary work in the field of education in conflict zones suspended in 2009 and the second, which is a 11.500 million dollars tripartite agreement signed between Sudan, EU and WHO to combat COVID-19 in different states that affected by conflict according to its need for Education and health
The State Minister pointed out that the signing of the Fram work agreement is considered start for carrying out rounds of negotiations between the government and the EU to determine Sudan’s different needs, noting that the country will receive the International Mission which will undertake extending of foreign aid and assistances, expecting the continuation of the flow of the humanitarian aid which is considered a important part of the international agreement.
He underlined that the United Nations mission agreement includes addressing the problems of all the Sudanese states.
