The member of the Transitional Sovereign Council, Shamsuddin Kabashi, revealed the authorities’ arrest of a number of leaders of the former regime who were calling for the gathering and undermining the revolution.
Kabashi said in statements reported by Al-Hadath Arabic TV channel Monday”: The arrests are still continuing and we have information about parties planning to abort the 30th of June”, and confirmed that they did not close the streets of Army Headquarters in fear of a military coup.
Kabbashi admitted that they bear part of the responsibility for the failure felt by the street, and said: “The transitional period is calculated for us all.” He stressed that they are not working to polarize specific components within the forces of declaring freedom and change
Kabashi accused parties of seeking to invest in the armed forces and sow discord within the components of the armed forces.
The Public Prosecutor has been notified and two prosecutors participated in the detention procedures for the group while holding meeting in one of the houses in peripheries of Khartoum yet the accused who are nine leaders will be interrogated .
