Limited demonstrations were organized in various parts of the capital, Khartoum, from some mosques, and witnesses spoke to (Sudan Morning on-line ) reported that the demonstrators raised slogans condemning the recent legal amendments announced by the Minister of Justice regarding the abolition of some marginal punishments in Islamic law, and eyewitnesses emphasized that The majority of the demonstrators gathered in the mosque “Abdel Hai Youssef” (Islamist group) in the suburb of “Jabra” south of Khartoum.
Yesterday, the Khartoum State Security Committee announced in a statement the closure of bridges that link the three cities of the capital from 6 pm Thursday to 6 pm Friday.
