The Sovereign Council delegation, led by the First Vice President of the Transitional Sovereign Council Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, arrived in Juba Monday, the delegation includes Lieutenant Shams El Din Kabashi and Mohammad Hassan Al-Taishi, as well as Suleiman Al-Dobilo, head of the Peace Commission, and a number of members of the government delegation for peace negotiations.
The delegation was received at Juba International Airport, Dr. Riek Machar, First Vice President of the Republic of South Sudan and a number of leaders of the Sudanese Revolutionary Front SRF.
“The signing of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement between the Sudanese government and the armed struggle movements will take place on the 28th of this August,” said Tut Qalwak, head of the southern mediation team, in a press statement at Juba Airport. Gatluak welcomed the visit of the sovereign delegation and said that it receives great interest internationally and regionally.
Tut recounted the efforts made in the march of peace negotiations and the files and protocols that were agreed upon in all tracks, and added that only the security arrangements file and the Darfur track were left, and that the mediation set a time limit not exceeding three days to complete the files in all tracks in preparation for signing with the initials and then Final signature.
