The head of the sit-in dispersal committee, legal expert, Nabil Adeeb, said that the constitutional document may only be amended by the Legislative Council and with a two-thirds majority.
Adeeb confirmed in his speech to a Sudanese media outlet that Article (69) of the constitutional document stipulates that comprehensive peace agreements signed between the transitional authority and armed movements are to be included in this constitutional document according to its provisions, and he said according to the provisions of the document, it is not permissible to amend or cancel this constitutional document. Except with a two-thirds majority of the members of the Transitional Legislative Council, and he added: Now the Council has not been formed and therefore the provisions of the Constitutional Document cannot be amended
