Sudanese Foreign Minister (FM) Omar El-Din said that the file of delisting Sudan from the state sponsor terrorism is not only a Sudanese file, but an American file too. He added that the major U.S Newspapers like Washington Post warned that if the Hamdok government fell and Sudan did not remove Sudan from the list of terrorism, then the empty US administration bears responsibility.
Foreign Minister Omar Gamar al-Din defended normalization, saying that normalization “was not done by conditions and pressure from the U.S administration, but rather an assessment of the position of officials in the Sovereignty Council and the Council of Ministers.
The head of the Sudanese diplomacy added that the biggest direct benefit from normalization with Israel is the removal of Sudan from the list of states sponsoring terrorism. In addition to benefiting from Israeli technology and Red Sea security.
Qamar al-Din pointed out that “what has been done so far between the two countries is a preliminary agreement on normalization, not a complete normalization, and it must be approved by the Legislative Council.” said Gamr Aldein
