The Council of Partners of the Transitional Period Chaired by the Head of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Lt-General, Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan held its first meeting, Wednesday, in the presence of the Prime Minister, Dr. Abdalla Hamdouk, the representatives of the political agreement and the parties to the peaceful process.
The council which established according to Article 80 of the Constitutional Document, in statement it issued Wednesday, expressed support for the institutions of the transitional period to serve the supreme interests of Sudan and to mobilize the necessary support to ensure the success of the transitional period and to coordinate relations between the partners of the transitional period and for the Council to be a reference in resolving differences in viewpoints between the different parties.
The statement said the President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council briefed the meeting on the events that took place, yesterday at the borders in the east of the country and the attack on the armed forces by Ethiopian forces
