The antecedent article protruded some theoretical postulations about citizenship, and it stated that these assumptions were nugatory and otiose unless theory matched practice. It also showed that law, which had to start from home, was so intrinsic to maintain citizenship, that is to say home is the trigger to build up a nation. The article, afore you, aims at elucidating how the concept of being a citizen nurtures and maintains cultural diversity along with the five belts of the Prime Minister of the Interim Government.
Sudan is opulent enough in cultural diversity and folklore. Luckily, the revolution has brought a new lease of life and a breath of fresh air to Sudanese to think more paramountly about this divine gift. Taking into consideration the whole world goes on a shopping spree to gain diversity. For example, the American Lottery makes use of cultural citizenship, which in application is a set of beliefs and practices formed out of parleying the often tentative and discorded relations with the state and its hegemonic forms that establish criteria of belonging, with a national population or territory. That is why America is the entire world! It simply realized the notion that ideas or thoughts always take revenge for themselves when their proponents mock them; in other words, connate thoughts deceive fortuitous ones. For instance, the ex-epoch of the Islamists came up with innate thoughts which called for linking the values of heaven to earth; consequently, they vanished since they were not honest; and thus, the innate thoughts took revenge for themselves.
The two thoughts above act as a good conductor that connects citizenship and support the whole nation. Otherwise, the more mockery, the more disperse of the nation. So as not to talk thoughtlessly and to stroll memory lane, the bitter experience that we have undergone with the fundamentalists is the fundamental cause behind the deterioration in all aspects of our life. They used to profess hostility in public and planned to eradicate any ethnic group that did not apply to their skin. What brazen people they were! Here lies the lack of social knowledge and acumen. Those sedition mongers deliberately stoke conflict in areas that supposed to be arenas of innovation since creation emerges on the borders of two adjacent cultures as a result of their mutual stimulating effect on each other. It was not natural for them to govern people who were aware of their civil rights.
Neutrally speaking, Sudanese fully surrendered and hearkened to enmity and racial address and have been acting on accordingly. No room left for diversity and no place for the different, this mono and dominant behavior of Pharaoh “I do not show you except what I see” killed in us the sense of creation, collaboration, and pleasantness. It developed, instead, a sense of irrational hatred and fragmentation of the nation, and even the concept of IDENTITY is still a moot point. As a result, we have been wading in the mud of flounder for long time. To quit from this ooze, it is better to let our hair down and keep it on to appease the injured souls and broken hearts to negotiate our social crisis in a veracity and verbiage manner. Above all, we all should accede to the super values in which we can integrate into the crucible of Sudanese nation.
The Prime Minister has teed off a novel term, the five belts, in Sudanese politics, which has never been triggered before. These belts are rather economic in nature. Here the concern of citizenship is addressed more closely for the impact of these belts on individual identity. To yield economic results out of these belts, citizenship is the key factor that maintains individual motivation and the emotional investment people make in wider collective identities. This is the sort of diversity that creates a sense of vie for the most good to actualize the concept of “super values” for the whole country.
Actualizing topnotch values demands active citizenship or people getting involved in their local communities and democracy at all levels, from home, school, city, county, and nationwide activity. Such an activity can be small as cleaning up your street or big as educating people about democratic merits, skills and participation. Therefore, citizenship is one of the most important steps towards healthy societies.
In sum, equal citizenship is not attainable without knowledge, positive attitude, skills and actions. These toolkits contribute to building and maintaining a democratic society which is furnished with skillful and multi-tasked people to meet the requirements of the twenty first century in terms of labor market.
