The official of the Commission for Refugees in the Blue Nile State, Al-Jaili Al-Hindi Al-Sharif, announced that more than 400 Ethiopian refugees have crossed the Sudanese border and settled in Babajar, Gezira, Menza and Al-Daim areas in the Blue Nile State due to the incidents in the Ethiopian Tigray and Beni Shangul regions.
At the Conference on Democratic Participation Requirements, organized by the Peace Bridge Association, in cooperation with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) he said that officials of the Commission for Refugees have made field visits with the concerned authorities to determine the required needs and assistance, explaining that the situation is under control.
Al-Sharif pointed to the completion of the registration of 3,755 refugees from South Sudan State in the Blue Nile State, indicating that the estimated number of the registered refugees is within the limits of 11,000 refugees.
