The Resident Representative of the UNITAMS, Volker Perthes has outlined that his visit to Kassala, East Sudan, achieved its goals, adding that choosing of the state comes in the context of the UN and the international community concern over the influxes of the refugees in the state.
The International Official has expressed the UN appreciation to the government and people of Sudan for hosting more than million of the Ethiopian refugees, revealing that the NUITAMS Office will be inaugurated in Kassala next May, to strengthen the state government efforts to realize\e the objectives of the Transitional period
He told reporters that he was briefed on the overall situations by the components of the civil society and the UN
