Sudan received Friday the first batch of sinopharm vaccine of covid-19 the arrival Chinese plane carrying a btch of vaccine donated by Beijing to Khartoum .
The member of the Supreme Committee for Health Emergencies in Sudan Siddig Tawer express the depth of Sino-Sudanese erelation and their cooperation various medical fields .“ On behalf the Supreme Committee for Health Emergencies in Sudan We express our heartfelt thanks for everything that the Republic of China has done during our fight against the pandemic They had great and clear assistance that helped us a lot in mitigating the negative effects of the Corona virus pandemic .“
For his part Sudanese Minister of Health, Omar Al-Najeeb commended the efforts of Chinese government to assist Sudan in the fight against COVID-19 and the role played bychina too curb the pandemic across the globe.
“ This month marks the fiftieth anniversary of the signing of the health protocol between Sudan and China
I am very happy that vaccine comes on this occasion to confirm the depth of friendship between the two peoples The fact that China is in the darkest conditions in Sudan stood with the people and provided a wide variety of assistance, especially in the field of health With regard to Covid-19, China has had a distinguished role in the whole world “ said the minster
The Chinese Ambassador to Khartoum Ma Xinmin said the Chinese government provides Chinese vaccines to help Sudan fight COVID-19. This action demonstrates deep friendship and close ties between our two peoples and two countries
Sudan has so far recorded a total of 29,542 COVID-19 cases, including 2,003 deaths since the outbreak the pandemic in March 2020 .
