According to social media reports, protesters will rally near the Ministry of Finance; however, the exact start times of the demonstrations remain unclear. Additionally, protesters may gather in areas around downtown Khartoum, Omdurman, and North Khartoum. Similar protests are likely in other major urban centers outside Khartoum.
Security forces may close bridges connecting Khartoum to Omdurman and North Khartoum and roads around Sudan Armed Forces (SAF) Headquarters and key ministries. Ground travel disruptions near protest sites are likely. Officials may also implement telecommunication blockages. Security forces are likely to deploy to all large public gatherings. Meanwhile governor of of Khartoum State Ayman Khaled, , announced t an official holiday in all parts of Khartoum State, based on Article (9) of the Decentralized Governance Organizing Law for the year 2020, that tomorrow, Wednesday, June 30, 2021, is a holiday in all Khartoum state, except for secondary certificate examination centers and workers in various certificate units.
