Khartoum — Lieutenant Major General, Ahmed Abdoun Hamad the governor of Khartoum state has declared a three-week curfew.
During the lockdown, the citizens will only be allowed to move within in their areas of living, for shopping purposes from 6 am till 1 pm, said Lt.Major General Abdoun Hamad. He also underscored the movement of transportation means and Bridges would be suspended during the lockdown duration .
The governor has reiterated the city’s provision of nutrition and basic commodities to the citizens during the permitted period.
However, employees within the water and electricity, telecommunication ,medical,rubbish recycling, medical productions and devices , fuel stations, flour mills ,bakeries ,pharmacies , medical staff for critical medical cases and nutrition productions factories will be allowed to move around for 24 hours.
To ensure public safety the transportation of white and red meat,eggs ,vegetables and fruits will be allowed to pass from within the city only after they have passed through medical inspections.
The city government has formed an emergency centre, presided by the state governor and other competence bodies to review the situation every 72 hours.
All these precautionary measures are aimed to protect Sudanese from the Covid-19 pandemic that hit the whole world, concluded Lt.Major General Abdoun Ha
