Health authorities in Sudan have confirmed, Friday, that one covid-19 patient has died, bringing the dead toll to six, since the first case of the pandemic was reported in Sudan.
Speaking to the media briefing on Friday, Sudanese Health Minister, Akram Ali Al Tom said another one confirmed case was also discovered on Friday, raising the total to 33. He added that so far, the suspected cases are on increase and reached to more than 300 suspects.
The Minister reveals that so far the government has allocated three hospitals, namely, Universal Hospital, Jabra Emergency Hospital and another one more hospital in Eastern Nile, should the number of the confirmed cases keeps on increasing.
The Minster denied the alleged news that one person was sick with covid-19 in Al Said Ali Al Merghani’s Mosques in Khartoum North, instead, citizens should follow the official communication from the authorities.
Minister Al Tom wormed on citizens to avoid rumors on the corona virus, “Anyone who spread rumors around, will be brought to justice.” He said
Al Tom also wornned that anyone who will be caught violating the lockdown directives will be tried in the court of law.
