Sudan’s Ministry of Health has recorded 24 new cases of Covid-19 and 4 deaths, as per Saturday April, 25 laboratory test results.
According to the epidemiological reports, Khartoum leads with 22, Senar state records its first confirmed case and East Darfur state with one case. The Ministry also said 4 more covid-19 patients died on Saturday, bringing the dead toll to 21. While 20 people have fully recovered from the disease.
This new record, brings the total infection rate in the country to 237 since the first case was recorded some two months ago.
According to the Ministry of Health, there are nine states which are affected and they include; Khartoum, River Nile, Jazeera, White Nile, Senar, Gadarif, Red Sea, Central Darfur and East Darfur states respectively.
The Ministry of Health reiterates its call for citizens to apply preventive guidelines and prompt reporting of suspected cases.
