The U.S administration has begun discussing the process of removing the name of Sudan from the list of countries sponsoring terrorism.
In a phone conversation with the head of the Sudanese Sovereign Council, General Abdulfatah Al Burhan, the U.S Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, also discussed the U.S support to the Sudanese transitional government to fight the covid-19 pandemic.
The two officials also elaborated on the expected UN Security Council decision on the new political mission to Sudan, in addition to security ties between the two countries during the current transitional period.
