Association of the Sudanese Abroad in Support of the Uprising ( ASASU ) played a considerable role in the revolution of the people of Sudan against the outset regime of Omer Al-Bashir. the role of the(ASASU) continued after removal of the previous regime to support the transitional government to make the transitional period a success in achieving the aspirations of the people.
Khartoum today caught up with Deputy official of (ASASU) office and came out with the following information

Q:Firstly we would like to know who are you?
A: I am Hind Al-Saddiq Mohamed Al-Taif, born in Wad Medani, grew up at kingdom of Saudi Arabia, studied primary and secondary school in Saudi Arabia, returned Sudan for University, graduated in Omdurman Islamic University, Faculty of Media, Department of Journalism, I also served in Sudan News Agency (SUNA) at the department of information and research for almost five years.
Q: Would you please brief us on the role played by the SAA in supporting the uprising in Sudan which resulted to Glorious December Revolution?
A: Sudanese abroad played a big role in the revolution, they protest in different countries and cities, they delivered memos for the different governments to stand with the revolution of the people of Sudan against ousted regime. The moves of the SAA all over the globe had its recognized positive impact in making the uprising a success.
Q: What kind of support the SAA deliver to the revolutionists in Sudan in their endevours to overthrow the dictatorship of Al Bashir’s regime?
A: Of course There were great moral support for the revolution during the sit-in period at the headquarters of the Army. The SAA also provided financial support to the sit-inners and participated in the formation of the resistance committees. The SAA is sharing experiences and expertize to sustain the revolution during the transitional period which will lead the the civilian democratic rule in our beloved country Sudan.
Q: Is there any kind of coordination or communication between SAA and transitional government ?
A: Off course there is coordination between the SAA and transitional government in different aspects, but this coordination is on individual bases between members of the Association and their colleague at transitional government. The association and its membership attempt actively to have role in supporting the transitional government by offering the experience of its members and contribute in developing many sectors at the country and apply what they studied and observed in their resident countries. The association delivered some studies and contribution during the meeting of the association delegation with the Prime Minister Dr. Abdallah Hamdok, in his visit to Germany at last February.
Q: The Sudanese revolution success in removing the National Congress Party Regime (NCP), but is facing economic challenges, does Sudanese Association Abroad have any vision to help government to face the challenges ?
A: We all know that the ousted regime made an economic gap at state, also we know the effort of its followers to make more economic crisis in different sectors. Surely we trying to support the transitional government by making some initiatives in contacting with some companies and initiations abroad to support Sudan according to its need. Most important of it are training the cadres in different sectors that may contribute in develop the state, also delivering some studies and suggestion of experts in economic sector to help in solving the crisis, in addition of invite Sudanese abroad for financial contribution for any initiative, most important of it are combating Coronavirus.
Q: The transitional government is now facing the challenges of COVID-19, what is effort of Sudanese Abroad Association in this aspect ?
A: No doubt its big challenge, all people and government should face it in good way to protect all people from danger and stop its outbreak. The Sudanese abroad association launched campaign to collect donations from people and institution to face corona pandemic in Sudan by rehabilitate of the intensive care rooms and provide it with ventilators. This will be by supporting number of interior initiatives and repair the medical devices, supply with spare parts, we studied from the experience of the countries that suffered from the spread of corona pandemic, it’s true that the medical devices has role in preparing the hospitals in Sudan as general to save lives, the association also preparing to meet number of doctors abroad to transfer their experience to make people accept directive of the health Ministry.
Q: Does Association of Sudanese Abroad facing any kind of problems in it’s work ?
Any political work has some problems, our problems are created by the followers of the outset regime who are still working to undercut and sabotage any contribution to serve and support the transitional government.
Q: What a message that association would like to sent it the to people of Sudan?
We would like to say for Sudanese people that we live with you by our hearts and support you. We urge you to unite and don’t give a chance for afflictions. We stand with our people and transitional government and will help you with technical and logistic support. We call on the government to accelerate forming the legislative council, bring the leaders of ousted regime to book and bring back the stolen money.

Thank you, I am proud to be hosted in your new media platform, I hope you prosperity. Secondly I would like to thanks my colleague in Sudanese abroad association for support the uprising, for their trust on me through media office in different occasions. I also feel proud for being one of them in supporting the revolution with them. At last I congratulate people of Sudan on success the revolution, and I think with some patient and more support the country will cross to prosperity period, will realize what we hope to the country and people of Sudan. The world is looking for our revolution with admiration and we should not disappoint the globe. So we should together work hard to make the transitional period a success towards a free and fair elections which lead to civilian democratic rule.
