Khartoum- The chairman of Sudan water resources technical AUTHORITY of, Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam GERD negotiation committee ,Dr.Salih Hamad, has Affirmed importance of resuming Al- nahda dam negotiation between Khartoum,Adis Ababa and Cairo for reaching unanimously agreement includes, forming coordination mechanism to exchange data, dam safety and social and environmental impacts due to establishment of the dam.
Hamad has disclosed that, the Sudan prime Minister (PM), Abdalla Hamdok ,consulted the US treasury minister to persuade the dispute parties on accelerating resumption of GERD negotiation as soon as possible for the benefit of the three countries. MPS,adding, the rapid resumption of negotiation via video conference, is the only way to end the conflict.
