The Sudanese Civil Aviation Authority has renewed on Sunday, May 17, renewed the decision to extend the closure of Sudanese airports in front of passenger traffic for international and domestic flights until May 31, 2020, in line with the precautionary measures adopted by the state to announce the comprehensive ban in the country. The authority excluded the following flights from the decision ofv closure :
- Scheduled and additional cargo flights.
- Humanitarian aid, technical and humanitarian support.
- Trips of companies operating in the oil fields.
- Evacuation trips for foreign nationals.
It is worth noting that the decision is issued under the guidance of the Supreme Committee for Health Emergency in the country of the Security and Defense Council and that the Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority is a member of the aforementioned Supreme Committee and all flights excluded fights are subject to prior approval by the Sudanese Civil Aviation Authority.
