Member of the Transitional Sovereign Council, Lt. Gen. Shams Addeen Kabashi, confirmed the Sudanese government seriousness in reaching a comprehensive peace in Sudan.
“Sudan rejects the international military presence inside it, but it welcomes the technical civil mission ”. said Omer Elein, adding that within the framework of the European Union’s assistance to Sudan in combating the COVID-19 pandemic, the country will receive flights carrying many aid materials to combat the pandemic and help evacuate foreign nationals in to their destinations. He disclosed that the member of the Sovereign Council, Lt. Gen. Kabashi, confirmed Sudan’s endeavor to tackle the issue of the Sudanese stranded in other countries, when appropriate conditions were available, emphasizing the importance of exchanging information on combating the COVID-19 pandemic and following the developments of peace negotiations, indicating the European Union’s support for efforts to achieve peace and the economic reform steps undertaken by the transitional government.
