The Sudanese Prime Minister Abdalla Hamdok issued a decision to dismiss the Director General of Police, Lt . General Adel Mohamed Ahmed Bashaer.
Hamdouk also appointed Lt. Ge. Izz al-Din Sheikh Ali as Director-General of the police forces.
Millions of Sudanese citizens went out on the 30th of June in protests calling for the Sudanese transitional government to implement a number of reforms and complete the structures of the transitional authority, and the restructuring of the security services and the dismissal of the Director General of the police.
