The Empowerment Dismantling Recovering the Looted Properties chaired by Lt. Gen. Yassir Al-Atta announced the recovery of a residence owned by ex-vice president of the republic, Ali Osman Mohammed Taha worth USD6 million constructed by the then National Intelligence and Security (NISS), besides tens of acres including farms in Al-Bagair area, Food Bank and the affiliated companies.
The Committee also recovered more 157 plots and lands from Jamal Al-Wali and more than 220 plots of lands for the Secretary-General of the Islamic Dawa’a Organization, Widad Babikir (the wife of Al-Bashir), Mohammed Attah (the ex-ambassador of Sudan in Washington.
The Committee announced the recovery of Al-Shorouq TV Channel and affiliating it to the Ministry of Information.
It also announced the termination of the services of 48 employees working in the Sovereign Council besides expelling 12 prosecutors
