The chieftain of the Rizeigat Hussein Aqeel praised the federal delegation’s decision on firearms collection and resolving security evils
Aqeel said in a statement to Khartoum today that the sit-in Nirtiti citizens was purposeful and is the first peaceful expression of the demands after the glorious December revolution to begin with this new page in the history of Darfur to silence the language of weapons, and that the demands of Nirtiti sit-inners are objective because they suffered a lot from armed robberies and repeated raids from some insurgents groups who repeatedly attack their farms.
The federal decision on of firearms collection, and the issue of dividing and securing farms are top priorities to achieve security and stability in Darfur in general, and that disarmament from irregular bodies would restore security to the region.
It is worth noting that the visiting federal delegation headed by Al-Taishi, managed to reach a consensus with the Nurtati sit-in committee regarding the demands raised by the sit-inners, as it was agreed to form a joint force from the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF), Rapid Support Forces (RSF), and Police to launch firearms collection campaign to bring an end of security violations, and safeguard the agricultural season.
On the conventional mining it was agreed to make it under the supervision of the Sudanese Mineral Resources Company.
The sit-inners agreed on the peaceful coexistence principle and to renounce the tribalism besides avoiding the issues that might lead to conflicts in West Jebel Marra Locality.
Meanwhile, Aqeel subjected the weakness of the local administration to its lack of seriousness in dealing with security issue which is supposed to be its top priority and this was since the era of the ousted regime.
Aqeel affirmed that he will work closely with the transitional government to remove and replace those in the local administrative who are still loyal to the ousted regime in East Darfur.
