The federal government delegation chaired by the Sovereign Council member, Mohammed Hassan Al-Taayshi has reached an agreement with Nirtiti sit-in committee on the demands raised by the sit-inners. Most of the demands are agreed on including the formation of a joint force from the Army, Rapid Support Forces and Police to collect firearms and deal with the insurgents besides safeguarding the agricultural season.
According to Sudan News Agency (SUNA), Monday, it was also agreed to organize the conventional mining to become under the supervision of the Sudanese Minerals Resources Company, besides providing support to the Al-Taayshi peaceful coexistence initiative in Jebel Marra Locality.
For his part, Rapid Support Forces (RSF)2nd Commander in Chief, Lt. Gen. Abdul Rahim Daglo announced the donation of One Billion Sudanese Pounds to support the initiative.
SUNA added that the two parties agreed on the formation of establishing a public court in Nirtiti considering that there are three prosecutors on their way to the locality in the framework of boosting the rule of law.
On the issue of land use and ownership, the Sovereign Council member Mohammed Hassan Al-Taayshi provided an enlightenment of what has been agreed on in Juba talks on the issue as it was agreed to form Lands Commission in Darfur besides a special court for that purpose.
It was also agreed on banning the cutting of trees in order to preserve the environment and issuing strict directives to the regular forces on the issue.
On the implementation of the development projects in the locality, Al-Taayshi said that those projects will be implemented within Darfur Development and Reconstruction Project which was agreed on in Juba peace talks.
