The Civil Aviation Authority has issued a decision according to which the passengers’ flights between Khartoum and each of United Arab Emirates, Turkey and Egypt will resume as first stage towards full operation of Khartoum International Airport as of Tuesday 14th July 2020 up to 10th October, 2020.
According press circular issued today (Monday), the flights from the countries which its airports are still closed due to COVID-19 pandemic will be added accordingly after it open its airports for passengers commercial flights.
The Civil Aviation Authority announced its acceptance to the technical stops without descending the passengers, pointing out that the Sudanese passengers and foreigners of Sudanese origins will be subject to COVID-19 test upon arrivial in Khartoum airport.
The foreign passengers from other countries should have COVID-19 negative result issued 72 hours prior their arrival time.
The Civil Aviation Authority allows for cargo flights including those from the countries which its airports are still closed due to COVID-19 pandemic. It also allows for operating the humanitarian and medical assistance flights and the assistance of the UN agencies, along with the fuel flighs after obtaining prior approval from the Civil Aviation Authority.
