Elfasher- Under the theme of “loyalty to our elderly”, the National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF) in North Darfur state celebrated with International day of older persons (IDOPs) in Addo-alsalam center for health care in Elfasher city the capital of (NDS).
The undersecretary of ministry of labour and social development ,Mohammed Madani Salih, has addressed the celebration, confirming the continuity of his ministry to offer support to the transitional term’s directives and objectives.
He expressed his gratitude to all health care facilities for their attention of citizens specially the elderly.
In his part ,the director of (NHIF) ,Mohammed Abdo-Allah Beraima ,underscored their concern for the community issues.
” the number of healthily insured reached tow millions and 300 thousands people .which presents %82 .” he said.
He urged the people to have to complete the procedures of enrolling the elderly under (NHIF) umbrella specially those who live in fragile areas.
the director attributed the lower-level services of health and medication to tough conditions which the country is facing . However, he promised to upgrade the health system in the best way later.
The director of health services with (NIHF) Dr. Mohammed Addo-alkareem Tourkawi asserted that International day of older persons came as appreciation and recognition for substantial roles played by fathers and mothers in raising and educating the current generations.
He said there are three health care centers are ready to present free-medical services in many areas including the chronic diseases .
Some elderly people were honored by (NIHF) administration for their historical dedications in educating the generation.
