According to news articles, the Sudanese Communist Party (SCP) announced its pull out from the Forces of Freedom and Change (FFC) in protest to its deviation from its goals.
The pull out of the SCP will not be the last as it will be followed by other FFC components.
Even before the SCP announcement, the National Umma Party (NUP) announced that it will freeze its membership in the FFC due to the absence of visions.
There is a lot of argument over the pull out of the SCP from the FFC or the National Consensus.
We believe that it would better for the FFC to reconsider its performance as a strategic alliance to achieve the aspired change.
It is apparent that there are contradictions within the FFC which could not be amended due to its linkage with partisan interests.
However, the pull out of the SCP has become a reality, so the political forces should respect this choice and concentrate in thinking of the mechanisms that will lead to the sustainability and success of the transitional period.
As a matter of fact, one of the biggest mistakes which the Sudanese elites who are involved in the current revolution is comparing it with the samples of the past uprisings.
But they should know that we are dealing with a new and different approach considering that all the past uprisings were based on a pivotal idea e.g. religious call (Islam), social theory (communism), national vision as liberation revolutions, ethical issues such as rejecting discrimination etc.
Such uprisings usually follow a leader who represents the icon of the idea of the uprising.
In our current revolution the pivotal idea and the leader are not existing, but despite that we are in an actual revolution where hundreds sacrificed their lives to make the revolution a reality.
The Forces of Freedom and Change (FFC) presented itself as a leading body and attempted to promote its declaration as the manifesto of the uprising; but most of the revolutionists did not even read the declaration.
Accordingly we can claim that our revolution this time is a new model without determination or limitation of its goals.
The sit-in area provided a fertile environment for the youth to communicate their views and to utilize the social media to promote their aspiration towards freedom, peace and justice.
This revolution is very harmonized without any leader and that is one of the benefits of the digital era which distinguished this uprising from the previous ones.
It is high time for the Sovereign Council and the cabinet to work out an emergency plan to unify their ranks and adapt a package of policies and procedures starting from the institutional reform in the ministries by the help of the experts instead of the current random policies.
There should be a workable partnership to include the public sector, private sector and civil society to set plans and strategies aiming at improving the livelihood of the people.
The government should plan for establishing a digital economy under the supervision as this will have its positive impact on agriculture, education, health, labour, justice, and social development.
Let us move before it is too late.
