The member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Shams El Din Kabbashi,has affirmed Wednesday Sudan’s position and its full commitment to the withdrawal of the UNAMID mission by the year 2020 and the entry of the UNITAMS mission.
Al-Kabbashi pointed out that preserving the security and safety of the citizen and his property is the responsibility of the government of Sudan.
On her part Director General of American and European Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maha Ayoub, explained that the meeting dealt with the steps that were taken to remove Sudan from the list of countries sponsoring terrorism, considering that Sudan lost a lot as a result of being placed on this list.
She said that the meeting praised the role of U.S in this regard, stressing the need to translate these steps into economic and investment benefits for Sudan.
She added that the meeting dealt with the Juba Peace Agreement for Sudan signed on the of October in the State of South Sudan.
