To ignore the power of new modern media outlets, which are used nowadays by most of generations, means how a reactionary persons they are, as the e-media became much attractive platforms of audience in comparison with traditional one, as well as how much available of freedom of expression there is by which could affect the users attitudes whether positively or negatively.
One of top of North Darfur government official claimed that he still relays only on the state broadcasting & TV to cover all local events and activities of the government.by this claim he deliberately excludes the other faces of media outlets particularly the read one whether electronics or hard copies, hence those two conventional, governmental media can generously have the government’s financial support.
It’s ironical to hear that claim from someone who should have been intellectual to somehow to recognize the major role of e-media and journals who played magnificently in ousting the dissolved NCP from the power
The ousted Albasher’s regime, who backed by the Islamist movement to usurp the power at night of June 30 of 1989,confessed that the e-media had a magic power of mobilizing the Sudanese against the government ideologies and projects not by the state media as the official adheres to, some of domestic broadcasts cover only 50 square KM, so the majority of people in the state are far from any political developments broadcast by the government media.
In spite of a great role played by some professional daily papers which subjected to seizures, shutdown ,and detentions to journalists , the electronic & social media also did essential role in polarizing the citizens by taking the streets to counter the failing , defunct system by which hundreds of thousands perished ,wounded, raped , displaced, and what that regime could have offered if it had been in power?.
The transitional military council which was formed promptly after falling of national congress party system, cut the internet service to block the people from connecting and exchanging pieces of information pertaining with the sit-in massacre which took place in front of the army headquarter in Khartoum .
It might be said this technological age let the nations even the developing countries be rarely following the conventional media outlets as much as they doing to the modern once, consequently the ministry of federal information and culture have to form a technical committee to visit North Darfur state to evaluate the work environment of directorate information. in addition to
rise concerns with the e-media in all eighteen states .it also should organize a workshop on how to strength the national unity , to support the peace agreement ,fight against all kinds of corruption.
These e-platforms should be prioritized as you know how speed the news can be disseminated across the globe, therefore they never be downplayed by anyone whoever can be .
