Health authorities in Sudan has reported and confirmed two more cases of the Covid-19 pandemic in the country, bring the total to 17 confirmed cases.
In a press statement issued late Friday April 10th, the Ministry of health says that the epidemiological reports indicated that case number 16 of is of a Sudanese man in his fifties, coming from Thailand via the UAE and arrived in Sudan on March 21.
As for case number 17, the statement says is also of a Sudanese in his sixties who has no travel history outside the country.
“Investigation procedures have not yet been proven to determine who have been in contact with him or other suspected individuals who might have been with him.” The statement explained.
The two patients are now receiving necessary medical care at the isolation center in Khartoum.
The statement reported no new cases of death. “Suspected cases have reached to 238 suspicions in all isolation centers in Sudan.
