Throughout Sudanese political history, with some little aberration, military juntas have taken no pleasure in understanding, but only clinging to their favor. Up to now, the military junta is repeating the same strategy and is not willing to draw the lessons from the bitter experience of forging the will of the people.
Oh, No! Military gentlemen, it is not time for you to step back from the revolution while you see with your own eyes the widening circle of rejecting the military rule across Sudanese cities that you caused delay for decades. Do you wish to rule forty million individuals by force, not paying attention to the voices resenting you? Remember that those individuals have become aware of the fact of the political scene cannot be camouflaged, deceived, or to play clumsy games that delusional people think will fall into the track.
We, Sudanese, know that in the Sudanese Army there are honorable officers whose souls refuse to delve into absurdities that have afflicted its history over the decades and ages. For instance, the Captain Hamid, and the first Lieutenant Mohamed Sidiq, and the like have to be leaders in the so called Military Junta, which is full of those who abet separatist elements, and rally their disciples around the Republican Palace for their paid sit-in! History is merciless, and days are enough to restore things to their rightful place, no matter how complicated the scenes are the length of the play’s chapters.
What you are arrogantly and stubbornly disregarding is to transcend the precious blood that was shed on the soil of the homeland. The blood of the martyrs will remain a bell that will keep you worried, nervous and insomniac. This country will never enjoy prosperity and development as long as the martyrs’ blood is a pending file shrouded in neglect, forgetfulness and disregard.
Do not you see that the homeland is more important than what is going on between you in terms of polarization, fragmentation, conspiracy and disintegration? Is not there a wise man among you? Why do not you tear up your personal whims and throw them into the abyss of selfishness and make the country at the front of your priorities? And if need be, you all vanish from the scene in order to advance a country that has been licking its deep wounds in the depth of history!
I swear to you, if your disciples were able to leave anywhere in this vast world, they would do the severity of the worries for many years. Generations alternate as we spend our days carrying worries and agony of the homeland, which politicians are attracted to more than the concerns of our families and children? To be honest, these men of state are not up to the par; they are up to now using an old-fashioned political microscope magnifying their only private interest. Last week I tracked a TV program hosting one of the political intruders; the she-presenter asked him if the public interest was to resign. Unfortunately he could not accept the hypothesis! The country is really in need of a godfather who uses a telescope, looking far away from those mercenary and selfish visions. To remind Sudanese rusty memory, Imam Sadiq El-Mahdi is dead (God keep his soul in a safe place), agreed or disagreed upon him, he was keen enough. On the other hand, Sayeed Mohamed Othman El-Mirgani is the only Sudanese man whose most concern is the country waiting for no rewards. In a flash back, who remembers Mirgani-Garange Accord, Nov. 1988?! He always keeps saying: liberate yourself from your own ambitions and renounce animosity, for the homeland can accommodate everyone.
What a shame! We suffer in a state divided by rivers in length and breadth, and its sides are filled with bounties and wealth. As for you, patient people, it is enough for you to hesitate. My soul and what I own in my hands is for my beloved country, which I have lived under its sky, and it is the one I have lived above its riches since childhood, I have loved its lands, its ease and prosperity.
In sum, as the tide of October 21st procession washes in, the junta and remnants will the face ocean of the youth’s strong will and ignite ethos, and rejoice, our beloved country, for a child who is not born as heir our victory not our fear.
