The security services in Sudan arrested the BBC team, while covering protests in Khartoum, informed sources told “Khartoum Today”.
The sources said, “A security force in a car without number plates arrested the channel’s team, which consisted of three people, and took them to an unknown destination, where their phones are still switched off. The detainees are the reporter Firas Kilani, the producer Mohamed Ibrahim, and the photographer Mark Bonsky.”
The security forces dispersed demonstrations in the capital, Khartoum, organized by the Sudanese resistance committees and political forces to oppose the military rule and demand the handover of power to a civilian government.
