Sudan announces evacuation of 1,000 people from its citizens in Ukraine

The Sudanese government announced the evacuation of 1,000 Sudanese nationals residing in Ukraine.
Sudanese Foreign Ministry spokesman Khaled Mohamed Farah said in a press conference in Khartoum, “The total number of those who were helped to be evacuated from Ukrainian territory, according to the mission’s estimates in Kyiv, reached 1,000.”
“More than 200 of them crossed to Romania, and the rest were distributed among other crossings with neighboring countries,” he added.
He explained that a small number of Sudanese nationals (about 10 people) refused to leave Ukrainian lands.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs reviewed a detailed report on the situation of the Sudanese in Ukraine in light of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict.
The Ministry has revealed, the efforts of the Foreign Ministry missions in Ukraine and neighboring countries, explained that the total number of those who were helped to evacuate from the Ukrainian lands, according to the estimates of the mission in Kyiv, amounted to 1,000 people, through more than 200 of them through Romania, and the rest were distributed among other crossings with neighboring countries, and only the number remains No more than 10 people preferred to stay with their families, according to the information of the mission in Kyiv.
