Sudanese Minister of Religious Affairs and Endowment, Nasruddeen Muferreh has reiterated the call of the authorities in the country to close all Mosques and Churches within Khartoum state, to avoid the spread of the Covid-19.
Addressing the media on Sunday, Muferreh, said citizens should adhere to the instructions given by the health authorities, to avoid all forms of gatherings, for three weeks, including prayers in Mosques and Churches.
The Minister also urged religious leaders both Muslims and Christians to cooperate with the directives of the Ministry of Health, which is the concern authorities on the current situation. “Islam is a scientific religion and we can only build our decision science” Mufferreh told the religious leaders.
He applauded those who are respecting the instruction by staying home and avoid all forms of social gatherings.
