The Sudanese Prime Minister Abdallah Hamdok met on Saturday the leader of National Umma Party (NUP) Imam Assadiq Al Mahdi.
In a copy of the statement issued by the press office of the Umma leader and seen by Khartoum Today, the two sides elaborated on how to continue strengthening military-civilians’ partnership during the transitional period.
The statement said the meeting also discussed the situation within the Forces for Freedom and Change or FFC, particularly the question as why has Umma Party suspended its active participation in the coalition.
Hamdok and Mahdi said there is need for restoring the economy of the country so that civil population are able to get basic services.
The two side has also explained exerted efforts of fighting Coronavirus pandemic across the country.
