Police sources have reported 43 people were killed and “31” were wounded in a traumatic traffic accident in the “Shangil Tobay” area of Dar Al Salam locality in North Darfur state, after a heavy vehicle “tractor” collided from the Shangil Tobai area and a lorry of passengers.
The police press office said in a statement, Thursday that as soon as the accident occurred and upon reporting to the police, Emergency team rushed to rescue the seriously injured to Al-Fasher hospital by an armed vehicle , while the fire that broke out in the tractor was extinguished, and some cases were ambulated to the Shangil Tobay Hospital to receive the first aid and necessary treatments .
