The Civil Aviation Authority issued a decision to extend the closure of Sudanese airports to passenger traffic for international and domestic flights until 20 May 2020, in line with the precautionary measures adopted by the government to announce a comprehensive ban in the country for a period of three weeks.
The Authority excluded the following flights from the decision of the ban:
- Scheduled cargo flights
- Humanitarian aid and technical and humanitarian support flights.
- Flights of companies operating in the oil fields.
- Evacuation flights for foreign nationals
It is worth noting that the decision is issued under the guidance of the Supreme Committee for Health Emergency of the Security and Defense Council.
