The Secretary General, Sudanese General Secretariat for Intellectual Property Hatim Elyas Musa, Called Sudanese Pharmaceutical and medicine scientist to make optimum use for ecological and diversity in Sudan.
Musa said in press statement that as part of the existing perilous conditions of the menacing Covid-19 pandemic, engulfing the entire world, we, in the Sudanese General Secretariat for Intellectual property, would grab this opportunity to extend our greetings to all innovative and creative Sudanese individuals in all fields of scientific, literally and artistic innovation and creativity on the this International Day for Intellectual Property, which is organized this year under the slogan: (Let us innovate for a green future).
Due to the gruesome conditions, which forced the World Intellectual Property the Organization (WIPO) to defer celebrating the day through out the world.
Musa invited all Sudanese researchers engaged in applied and scientific research in the areas of therapeutic and medicinal herbs to grasp the challenge of the pandemic to develop a therapeutic and medicinal research data base and to gear scientific research to play its destined advanced role in the general strategies of the Sudanese state.
The statement further said this is clearly of utmost significance because the Covid-19 pandemic has exposed our dire need, in the global South countries, for research and innovation in the fields of medicine to face up to the threats of epidemics and diseases. It is also a chance to leave the seats of recipients, awaiting the results of research and inventions from international research centers in the West, and move forward to be original participators to the one global family. This could only be accomplished through diligent and persistent efforts to enhance the national scientific research centers.
“We in the General Seritariat for Intellectual Property in Sudan, would like to express our sincere gratitude and appreciation to the Sudanese medical cadres (the White Army) and their unrivalled contribution and great sacrifices in Sudan and throughout the world, in order to ward off this epidemic in the midst of severe and dangerous and hazardous professional conditions” He stated.
