Kambala is a Nuba traditional dance, famous among hundred dances because of simulation of cows. Usually performed during the harvest season (Sounding Harvest). This dance is shared for some Nuba tribes like Njimang, Kwalib, Galfan, Dobab and Terry. kambala doesn’t hav specific meaning rather than sounding harvest. However, it could mean values, power and dignity of the group that worked very hard during the rainy season to provide food security of the family, tribe, village or the city, to avoid any weakness during the dry season. This is why they dance with strong bodies to appear to their enemies that they are strong and ready for the misfortunes.
