Khartoum- Souq Sita (market 6), Al haj yousf , is one of the biggest shopping centres , for residents of East Nile locality , where provides diferent kinds of important goods and consumptive commodities. Also, it has a remarkable contribution on consolidating the commercial activities of Khartoum state.
however, Spices complex in souq Sita, witnesses high purchasing force every year, especially the days before Ramadan (fasting month), but this season is completely different than former rounds, as a result, Khartoum Today , helds live interview to reveal the secret behind declination of the market deals.
The micro spices trader, Ahmed haroun, has said the sale and purchase operation is very humble , due to exec price of consumptive productions and scarcity of some commodities from the markets. He added, saying, the overall traders, in omdurnan, are envolved in commodities price increasing ,because the pieces trader price based on the overall commercial , therefore, customers have to be aware of market declines causes before blaming depandents. He concluded by noting some spices prices as following:
Price of pound of coffee,220 -blackpepper,200-whitebeans,120-ginger 220-tamarind,50-resoull plants,40 and garlic,100 SDG.
Meanwhile, the grocer, Bakri abdalla, has noted that the lack of gasoline , benzin,beside the last decisions of totally lockdown in khartoum state ,were enough reasons on deterioration of market movement. Also, he indicated that his shop is empty of essential consumptive commodities due to un arrivable of trucks supplier from others state, consequence , He lives in embrassment moments with his regular customers.
Bakri said most of basic spices imported from outdoors, for instance , ginger, black pepper,cardamom, chinès garlic, coffee and red lentils. He concluded urging the competence authorities to set the price and punish any person tries to manipulate with vital requirements of the citizens.
As the citizen, Babikr Abadalla , said he likes to cover all Ramadan month needs, but unfortunately his pocket is very humble, and the increasing prices of goods has shocked him completely.
